Goji juice is said to help induce sleep and composure. This juice is also said to be beneficial for athletes as it gives a feeling of endurance and boosts the immune system to combat against the stress from athletic activities. Goji berries are also said to inhibit inflammation and help fortify the liver, however, more research is needed to fully support this information.
Don’t take goji berry products together with warfarin (a blood thinner) as it is known to create adverse side effects. Other drugs especially for blood pressure and diabetes should also not be taken together with goji berries. Those who are allergic to pollen must also keep away from goji berries.
Most people recommend an ounce of goji berries each day but you don’t have to follow that rule. You can eat them like you would any other type of berry if you wish. What’s so great about goji berries is that you can drink them as goji juices or mix them in with your baking, cereal, or whatever dish you want that goes great with berries. To be perfectly honest, you might find the taste a little strange at first, but you will soon get used to it, after all, the benefits are well worth it.
