RC may stand for two different types of cars: there are remote controlled and radio controlled cars. Both of these are fun to use but there are some differences. The remote controlled car usually has wires which are connected between the car and the remote handset. No wires are used with a radio controlled car. Today, RC relates more to radio or infra red controlled cars.

The majority of micro remote controlled choppers are manufactured for indoor flying and may be flown outside soley under the most ideal weather conditions, because they can easily be blown off course. These mini RC choppers may be controlled in three flight paths: up - down, forwards - backwards and left - right.

If you would like to begin flying or even making radio controlled choppers, the best way to start is at the beginning and the beginning is with small electric, 7″-8″ long, battery-powered models. These models are very cheap compared to a year ago, when they cost $100-$120 each. Now you can purchase one for $20.

If you are ever stuck for a present for someone, consider a micro radio controlled helicopter. They sound very expensive and a decade ago they probably were, but they have come down a great deal in price. I am certain that you will be surprised to know that you can have a mini radio controlled helicopter for about $30.

It has often been said that every man should have a hobby and maybe that applies to women as well, if they have the time, so I am going to suggest radio controlled choppers as a good hobby. Becoming interested in remote controlled helicopters is not the easiest manner of starting with remote controlled models, but it is probably the most challenging and perhaps the most fun.

Radio controlled cars are the only cars that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In most countries, individuals are not permitted to drive until they are 17 and in some countries, women of any age are not permitted to drive, but everybody can drive an RC car and race them and what is more, lots of individuals can even construct their own.

Radio controlled cars, remote controlled cars or RC cars and trucks are devices, with which to have fun. However, some RC hobbyists take their fun very seriously indeed. They want their RC car or truck to be the most realistic or the fastest by tweaking the basic kit and by tuning up the engine. This is not a new phenomenon at all. Hobbyists have been making and racing model cars since the 1940’s. However, these early cars were hamstrung by technology.

I have read loads of reviews about remote control cars, because I am a subscriber to a remote control car aficionados’ magazine that carries articles about all the different kinds of remote control gas cars on the market. It also recommends the best one to buy depending on whether you are a first time owner or an RC old hand. The magazine is great, and it helps me see what other RC car owners think about the various models and brands of RC cars and trucks.

Tamiya is a company known for producing first-rate miniatures of automobiles. They are famous today for introducing the world to the sport of mini 4WD racing. However, what many people do not know, is that Tamiya also introduced the world to RC (remote controlled or radio controlled) cars. The Tamiya RC car line-up has a lot of models that show the excellence of the company’s ability in model design.
