There are hydrogen fuel cars on the streets of some cities. However there are two methods by which hydrogen can be utilized to power cars. The first way is to use hydrogen to actually power the internal combustion engine, in much the same way as numerous cars use Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). The second method is to use the reaction of hydrogen with oxygen in fuel cells as a battery, which makes the car a form of electric car.

In uncertain economic times, the last thing consumers want is to spend a small fortune on premium fuel when filling up their cars. Another benefit of driving a greener car is conserving the environment for future generations; the ozone layer is getting thinner by all the gasses our vehicles put out into the air. Contrary to popular belief, many of these cars are actually within financial reach for most buyers.

The cost of gas can be quite an expensive one and with the economy in a precarious state, more consumers than ever are becoming interested in green cars. The American Council for an Energy have announced their top honors for greenest cars of the year 2011 and the long awaited results are finally in; Honda’s Civic GX, the first ever commercially produced gas car gets the very top spot. The Ford Fiesta SFE also receives recognition by being one of the thirteen cars on the list. Autos were judged based on mileage, emissions that are harmful to global warming and overall pollution emissions.

Everyone has seen the Cadillac Escalade on the road. With it’s imposing tough look and chrome accents, this is the luxury SUV to be seen in. This car has made many appearances in popular music videos and many celebs are also big fans and drive an Escalade including; Anna Kournikova, Travis Barker, Justin Timberlake and many pro-athletes. This car is perfect for making an entrance at the most expensive restaurant in town but it’s still perfect for use as an everyday vehicle. It’s hard to believe that there could be anything better than an Escalade but now there is; it’s the 2010 Hybrid Escalade. Now you get all the style with a hybrid powertrain.

Hybrid cars are on everyone’s minds. Twenty, forty, or fifty dollars for a full tank of gas? Who in their right mind wants to pay that sort of money? However, frustrated, the petrol customer sighs, but pays up. However, hybrid vehicles are applauded for the small amount of gas they need to operate, and they are being driven off the lots of car dealerships each and everyday in increasing numbers.
