Tattoos are a sort of man-made scar, that ma be coloured at will. Ink is injected under the skin with a needle where it changes the natural pigmentation of the skin. In olden days, this might have been done with a sharpened feather or a splinter of wood; later, pins and needles were used. These days a tattoo artist makes use of something that is comparable to a road drill, but in miniature.

There are two fundamental reasons why people have tattoos: one is to display membership of a club or group and the other is purely personal. The section of society that has a tattoo for purely personal factors is by much the smaller of the two groups. Most young people have a tattoo the same as their friends, who frequently have the same tattoo as their film or music idol and many older people have a tattoo to seem young again.

If you have never been into a tattoo artist’s studio, you would be astonished. Tattooing has a very sleazy reputation, but that is because of its association previously with tattooists on the dock or in prison. It is not like that any more. Tattooists are known as tattoo artists and their site of work is called a tattoo studio, like an artist’s studio.

The negative factors concerning tattoos are well-known. If you have a tattoo people are more likely to treat you with suspicion, especially if you are a male and some tattoos may become regretted like those with some personal conviction on them like ‘I love Lucy’ or ‘Death to Hedgehogs’, about which you later change your point of view.

Most very successful TV shows have their spin-offs, which are designed to milk the popular show for all the extra popularity they are able to get, because popularity means money (from advertisers or / and subscribers). Dancing with the Stars was no different.

80% of Americans think it theft to walk out of a store with a DVD that they did not pay for. Merely half as many people think downloading a movie from the Net is a crime. The fact is that there is really no difference at all between the two; these are both serious crimes that are punishable by law.

If you are one of the tens of millions of supporters of Dancing with the Stars, you may be interested in a bit of its history. Dancing with the Stars began in the United Kingdom where the show originated although there it is known as Strictly Come Dancing and is aired by the British Broadcasting Corporation - the BBC. The international arm of the BBC decided to patent the it and sell the franchises.
