Progress Toward a More Green Environment By the Auto Shipping Industry
Posted by Tom Kearns in Uncategorized, tags: auto, auto shipping, auto transport, automotive, business, cars, environment, environmental, logistics, moving, relocating, shipping, transportation, trucks, UncategorizedDue to the increasing evidence of our planet’s destruction by environmental pollution and the growing concern among nations, industries have stepped up their efforts to operate in an increasingly environmentally clean manner with large established companies in wealthier nations leading the way. The public awareness has increased to the extent that the waiting list for hybrid cars is growing longer and longer.
Waste and energy use are being reduced thanks to green homes, and their popularity is only increasing. Municipalities have reduced energy consumption by using eco-friendly light bulbs, hybrid buses, and more efficient street lighting. Recycling is evident everywhere you go.
Auto shipping companies are not an exception to this general shift towards urgent attempts to restore and stabilize a near-depleted world: a fairly young, recent, and one of the most innovative and distinctive industries in the history of modern civilization, they have been acutely attuned to modern problems and have been engaged in the campaign to reduce global warming for years now, without much pomp and fanfare.
With the realization that they have become a huge industry, auto shipping companies understand the potential that exists to reduce such terrible accidents that have been in the news for a few decades regarding oil tankers, container vessels, trucks, and railroads. They recognize the need that to survive as a mega-industry, they must do something to stop such crimes against the environment.
One rather large auto shipping company has the ability to save up to three million gallons of fuel by some estimations, thereby reducing greenhouse gases by 38 million pounds that would otherwise drift into our atmosphere. The expansion of the industry is a given and with the increasing globalization of our society, their future looks secure. They must expand in a most environmentally friendly way.
Simple math can show how great the benefits can be from this industry if they practice green technology. If only one auto shipping company per state practiced the fuel saving methodology as mentioned above, national savings would be about 150 million gallons of fuel and up to two billion pounds of greenhouse gases will not be poisoning our atmosphere. So, if only half the companies existing today unite in this environmental effort, the savings would be enormous and critical progress toward a cleaner environment would be the result.
Many vehicles are still being personally driven, of course, and the auto shipping companies alone will not be the answer to the global problem, but the leading names in the industry can be proud of their significant contribution and may be set as an example of future-oriented modern industries who soberly realize that their future depends on the stability of national and international climate and who manage, despite the daunting complexities of the challenge, to make the transition to greener operation while remaining at the top of the industrial world.
