Of Mice and Men
Posted by Steven Morgan in Uncategorized, tags: college, education, other, Uncategorized, universityYears ago you adopted a little dog or cat as your very own. Now the big day finally comes for you to move away to college and you can’t take Fluffy with you. What do you do? Have you thought about an online university? That way you can attend school and keep your favorite ball of fur with you. That being said, if you do go off to school you might have a few options.
You simply can’t go wrong with fish. They are fairly low maintenance and nobody is allergic to them. They also come in really pretty colors and different shapes and sizes. A nice fish tank can really add a lot to a room and the light at night can add quite a bit of ambiance. They do require some special equipment though.
Everyone has cold fish, but you can get all sorts of exotic types. If you want to keep them separate you could even get Japanese Fighting Fish. You can also add a sucker fish to keep things clean. For a little variety you can get a small turtle or crab to put in there as well. I have yet to see shrimp in a tank, but anything is possible.
Fish tanks make for some great decorations as well. Rocks come in all sorts of colors and patterns and the light reflecting on them are a nice effect. You can also put large rocks in there to create an underwater scene as well. Driftwood will create nice places for the fish to hide in. You can have fun and put a sunken ship, or a mermaid or even an old school diver in the tank for some flare as well.
A more controversial approach could be snakes, spiders, mice or even hamsters. However, many people are scared of or have serious issues with these particular animals. If they get out, you can have serious problems in your dorm or house. Hamsters and mice can also smell and require a lot of clean up. So in the end it is probably best not to go with this last group.
At distance learning you can finish your education today.
