The Chichen Itza is the largest Mayan City in the Yucatan Peninsula and is one of the top destinations in Mexico. The highlights of the Chichen Itza are the Great Ball court, El Caracul, and temple pyramid of El Castillo. El Castillo is made up of 365 steps in all, and bears a great astronomical significance.
Teotihuacan is a city of huge pyramids dating back to 2nd century BC. The biggest pyramid in all of Mexico is found here which is The Pyramid of the Sun. Other attractions in Mexico are the colonial city of Guanajuato, the famous festive city of Oaxaca and the geographical marvel which is copper canyon. Famous festivities are the Day of the Dead and Dias des los Muertos.
When planning a trip to Mexico, make sure you have all your passports ready, credit cards brought are minimal, or better yet bring a travel checking account. Since it’s a tropical country, get your flu shots and other vaccines for tropical diseases just to make sure you stay safe the whole trip.
