Enlightenment whilst alone in nature appears to become the typical thread throughout nearly each and every main religion across the world.

For instance, Jesus invested forty days and forty nights alone in the wilderness and in the end conversed with angels. Buddha sat on his own for forty-nine days beneath the Bhodi tree and became enlightened. And Moses went to the peak of a mountain for forty days and 40 nights and spoke with God.

By nature I’m not personally much into religions as I think we all have our authentic nature inside, however following investing countless time on my own within the wilderness I know there is an additional way of being that feels much like the ‘enlightenment’ religions speak of.

For instance following about two days by yourself on your own in nature without the distractions of modern life it seems that time tends to naturally decelerate. Why this is so I don’t know but to me it feels like the existing moment seems to get lengthier and lengthier and the present view of actuality begins to decelerate.

Often in this state in nature it is as though my thoughts quit completely. Buddhists label this state no-mind however on your own in nature it’s not like you need to attempt to meditate. This state happens naturally and often I will find myself staring at say a spider spinning a web for what seems to become hrs. Viewing the way it moves the legs against the web. The slight breeze distorting the web because it blows back and forth. Moment by second being with the spider creating it’s web. As though time stands in complete stillness.

I also notice that when I am immersed in nature for 3-4 days that my sense of self tends to normally dissolve. Once more it’s not like I want to ‘try’ to attain this state of consciousness. With out distractions, the component that sees me as separate from everything else is simply not existing any longer. It dissolves.

I have also experienced many times not just the feeling of my ’self’ dissolving whilst alone in nature but my consciousness expanding outwards to contain everything simultaneously. For instance I was once alone on the deserted beach and felt what it was like to feel like a lizard, a bird along with a fish (and lots of other objects) all at the same time. What it had been like to feel my metabolism quicken against my scales because the sun beat down. The way it felt to possess air push against my feathers as I glided along the wind. And the sensation of water pushing through my gills as I swam in the ocean.

When you’d like to immerse your self on an enlightenment adventure in nature and learn exactly how you can tap into your soul and spirit then this could be the day that will alter your existence.
