Don’t Continue To Line Up At The Store - Shop Online And Sit
Posted by Carl Orlafski in Uncategorized, tags: moneyonthegonet, online, online shopping, shopping, UncategorizedIt’s no secret that a lot of women love to shop, especially with a group of buddies. This is true the world over and I’ll bet some men get together and shop for fun also.
It’s fun to get together and look at all the different items available in stores today and make comments on them while passing them around. To come together to find the perfect gift for someone or that jazzy item for someone’s drab den is a great way to spend the day and bond with one’s chums.
Shopping, however, is not all fun and games. Many people actually hate to shop and wonder how all those people can stand it. Whether you belong to the first group of avid shoppers among friends or the second group who loathe the very thought of shopping altogether, I’ll bet there is one factor about shopping we all agree on.
Twiddling Your Thumbs in the Checkout Line is No Fun
It doesn’t matter where you shop, be it a shopping mall or a grocery store, it is sure there will not be enough checkers to accommodate you and your fellow shoppers with ease. Count on being bored and frustrated standing in a long, slow-moving line up. On some days, the lines are so long it takes all the fun out of shopping and ruins your whole day. I can’t think of a worse waste of precious time.
Yes, in Kindergarten we learned to wait Our Turn, so What Now?
We can all think of more productive things to do with our time than stand in line. And if you have absolutely nothing else to do, you can still think of many things you would rather do. Such as watching grass grow or paint dry. Standing in line for hours is not your chosen avocation. This may be the reason you haven’t taken a bunch of kids to Disney World yet. Standing in line may induce that twitching sensation or numbness somewhere in your body right before you let out a blood curdling scream.
I am not the one to barge into the front of a line declaring that my sister is having triplets RIGHT NOW and I must get her to the hospital ASAP. For this very reason, I shop on line to avoid the non-virtual lines so prevalent in the brick and mortar world.
If you have ever shopped for an item, checked the price tag, frowned and moved on, you already know how to bargain hunt on the web. But saving money isn’t the only advantage of shopping online.
The greatest advantage to shopping online is the saving of your precious time and sanity. Online shopping gives you more time to spend with your family, with your work, with your fun. You may even make it to that zumba class at the gym. So, if you need something and can wait a couple of days for it, save yourself from traffic, parking woes, packing the kids into the car, and yes, standing in line by doing your shopping online.
