Another advanced feature of this engine is that it can pretty much turn the V8 into a V4 under light load conditions via the Active Fuel Management System and as a result be much more fuel efficient. You would think that accelerating may be a bit slow due to the huge size of this car but instead accelerating is super easy, smooth and fast.
The cabin is roomy and seats 8 people with ease. A ton of amenities can be found inside to make your ride as relaxing as can be with the inclusion of tri-zone climate control, a touch screen navigation system with turn by turn directions, an incredible Bose stereo and CD changer, sweet looking 22″ chrome wheels, and a sunroof. Luxurious leather covers the seats and the driver seat features memory setting and is power adjustable. There is a Escalade Platinum Edition Hybrid trim available at an extra cost which includes special LED headlights, cup holders which can be cooled and heated, a temperature controlled steering wheel plus video monitors installed in the back of the front headrests perfect for enjoying movies for the whole family.
In terms of safety features, this car includes Cadillac StabiliTrak stability control system which has the ability to apply brakes selectively and prevent rollovers, a four wheel anti-lock braking system, four wheel disc brakes, On Star Emergency Support, front and side curtain airbags, side chest airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system. This SUV earned 5 star ratings for the protection of the front passengers during federally mandated crash tests.
This car doesn’t come cheap at a base price of $73,000 around but keep in mind that it doesn’t get much better than the Escalade when it comes to luxury and cool-factor. You will be driving one of the most coveted cars on the road.
