Education is important especially for those who are financially-challenged. Lack of funds should not hinder one from enrolling in college. This ias especially true for women since nowadays, they believe that they can raise a family without the help of a husband. If you have a college degree, you will be able to obtain a viable career path. Opporunities for work will not be a problem. Sadly, a person without the advantage of a college diploma is forced to take a job which is available. And this is sad. But everything is not without a glimmer of hope.

The Pell Grant is money which the U.S government provides for students who need it to pay for college. It is available traditionally to those who have not received their first professional degrees yet, but in some instances it can be awarded to those who are enrolled in certain post-baccalaureate programs that lead to teacher certification or licensure. Unlike a loan, this grant does not have to be repaid. Depending on which college you go to, you can spend $9,000 to $36,000 on average in yearly tuition and fees. Those figures of course are conservative estimates considering you still have to fork out hundreds of dollars monthly for rent, food, laundry and school supplies. With the cost of attending college going higher year after year, and federal student aid programs unable to keep up, it would seem that getting a degree is shoved further out of reach to many young Americans.
