With enlightenment a lot of native traditions label the state of becoming another object ’shape-shifting’, but I’m not very sure about that. It’s much more like when my sense of ’self’ dissolves in nature then there is much more of my consciousness available to determine the world from other points of view. It’s like an expanded state of consciousness in that I naturally get to experience the 5 senses of objects external to me, like the lizard, bird and fish I just became in nature.

Apart from putting your consciousness and attention on the tactile sensations of your outer skin whilst in a feeling of relaxation, another method to heighten this perception would be to really feel the objects and components of nature about you. Simply find an element of nature that you really feel drawn to. Whether that is a rock, or perhaps a tree, or a branch, some soil or maybe a leaf. Then slowly rub your finger tips against this object and notice the way it feels.

On the heart walk you’ll get to really feel the perception of your organic rhythm. Of your organic tempo. You’ll also get to really feel a feeling of relaxation and the pull of the force and also to feel what it’s like to be guided by this force. To go with this force. To align your self with this particular force and go with the delicate pull inside.
