The Pell grant is a federal, monetary education aid administered by the Department of Education. It is meant to provide financial support to undergraduate students who can’t afford college education. The federal government evaluates the Pell Grant application of each student from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and determines eligibility.

Despite the fact that pursuing a college degree can set a person back thousands of dollars, it is nonetheless essential, primarily because being able to finish such can provide better life and career opportunities. Prior to graduating from high school I already did an intensive search for financial aid options which I can utilize to take away some of the financial burden of attending college. One of the scholarships I was able to get was worth $1,000, and I was able to qualify for it because I’m tall, 6′3 to be exact. I am, at present, six feet three inches tall. I am not kidding. I really received a $1,000 scholarship just for being gifted with height.

It seems everyone nowadays is in a tight financial situation and going to college no longer top priority. Earning a living seems nothing more than earning for subsistence level.

Being a recipient of the Federal Pell Grant myself, I can tell you with certainty that it is incredibly useful. Although there is no denying that the sum of money I received from such grant is not enough to pay the entirety of my schooling expenditures, I am truly appreciative of the fact that it was able to ease out my financial burden especially so because I come from a low-income household.

My father was a left-handed individual. But, as a kid, he strove to make his right hand perform just about anything his left hand can do. And he was successful. My father became an ambi dextrous. He was artistic and used his hands with great skill. My mom was a left-handed person too! She like tinkering with things and drawing.

I never thought that I would actually apply for Pell grant.I did need the financial aid but I always had second thoughts about the grant.I was aware of the rigid screening and the tedious process for applying.But as college was closer I felt the need to actually drag my feet and try my luck.

Its getting harder and harder to earn enough and live comfortably. But our current financial burdens should not discourage us from getting higher learning. Everyone is hopeful to get a scholarship however not all have exceptional skills or exceptional financial situations. I for instance belong to a middle class family and have regular skills and talents.
