Most parents do not want their kids to play online games. Some parents even think that online games weaken the eyesight because kids stare at the screen for prolonged periods of time. The other half believe that shooting games make their child adopt violence. However, according to recent studies and research, these myths does not seem to be true. As a matter of fact, many skills can be attributed to gaming. These benefits range from developing social skills in the virtual environment, increasing the ability to maneuver around the environment, increasing emotional and intellectual intelligence and increasing computer skills.

We want nothing but the best for our children. As parents, we always want better lives for them than what we had during their age. Such is the love of parents for their kids. Part of our love is ensuring our kids do good in school. We want the best schools for them, and later on the best career. Early in gradeschool, we ensure they have the best academic foundation. At home, we do everything we can to make sure they have improved learning and retention skills.

Learning should not be confined only to the school. Supporting your kid’s learning and development at home will determine to a great extent how well they succeed at school as well as later on in life. Among many cognitive skills that children have to learn is how to memorize which will enhance both their learning and retention.
