Moreover, the insulation lasts 20 years or more, so the net saving is huge. 30 to 40 years ago, when gas and electricity was cheap, spending on insulation might not have appeared very rational, but those days are well behind us. These days, it is the exact opposite. Rising electricity and oil prices, combined with the uncertainty of income only means that you surround yourself and your family with the warmth that only good insulation can provide.
