Can you recall when you could control the flow of information about yourself? You had the ability to, without a lot of effort, control precisely what other people knew about you and how they could find out about it. This is not the case any longer. There are a lot of different ways that people can dig up information about you. This is tough for individuals who have “regular” day jobs offline. It’s far harder for those who work on the internet. These days, a haphazard tweet could wind up keeping you from making sales.
