The explanation of kidney stones is hard, crystalline materials which have been created in your urinary tract or kidneys. They are often caused by decreased urine volume, a surplus of stone-forming substances like calcium, uric acid and amino acid cysteine; and dehydration. Kidney stones may also be the result of the blocked flow of urine; UTI; and medical problems like gout, hypercalciuria, hyperparathyroidism, renal tubular acidosis, cystinuria, hyperoxaluria, diabetes, hypertension, and inflammatory bowel disease.
